Fayette Market Day on Aug. 18 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. - Heritage Park at the "Lane Brown Gazebo" As always, shoppers will enjoy a variety of homemade and homegrown products. The Peachtree City Fire Department will be participating in a fund raising effort benefiting the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation, which is a non-profit organization that provides fire safety and prevention education, supports medical facilities and assists burn survivors in their recovery. The Georgia Singers begins its seventh season with rehearsals on Aug. 20, at the First Presbyterian Church. Providence UMC and Heritage Christian Church are teaming up to offer a new 13-week DivorceCare, DivorceCare for Kids (DC4K ages 5 - 12 yrs) and Big "D" for Teens (13 - 18 yrs) sessions beginning Aug. 22, at Heritage Christian Church at 2130 Redwine Road in Fayetteville. All three programs are free. We will meet each Wednesday evening from 6:30 - 8 p.m. in the Brick building except for Fayette County school holidays. You do not have to go through this difficult time alone. These Biblical based programs will provide the guidance and support needed to move forward. DivorceCare facilitators have all experienced a divorce so they truly understand what those who are separated or recently divorced are experiencing and are here to help. Wellspring Living will host its 7th annual Race to Restore 5K: Run for Her Future in Peachtree City.
