Barbara Ann Gardner, of Fayetteville, passed away on August 15, 2012. She is survived by her husband, Ray Gardner of 47 years; daughter, Julie Doris Gardner Anderson and husband, Tim; son, David Gardner and wife, Jitsa; granddaughters, Rae Ann Anderson, Brialyn Anderson, Analiese Anderson; grandsons, Thomas Gardner and Alex Gardner; and many cousins.
She was a graduate of Hapeville High School and graduate of UGA, where Barbara was a member of Alpha Zeta Delta. She and her husband moved to Fayetteville where they have resided and attended New Hope North for 35 years.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 12:00 PM at New Hope Baptist North, Fayetteville. She will lie in state from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, prior to the service. Reverend Rhys Stenner and Reverend Dr. Ike Reighard and will officiate. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
