Peeples Students Celebrate Walk to School Day

Peeples Elementary students celebrated International Walk to School Day.

 Approximately 180 students and numerous parent volunteers walked and biked with students home from school.  

This event was part of an international effort to encourage more families to enjoy the many benefits of safely walking and bicycling to school.  

One parent was quoted as saying, "Folks who came through my area had a great community-building experience. Not only did we raise awareness of getting fit, we all had a great time being together and working toward a common goal. And folks who didn't participate said they wished they had. Terrific activity!"
