The Gift of Lights at Atlanta Motor Speedway is returning for its second year as Georgia’s largest holiday LED light show. Sunday, November 18th through Sunday, January 6, the Speedway will once again be transformed into a magical winter wonderland. During its inaugural year in 2011, more than 50,000 people from all over Atlanta enjoyed the light displays at one of the most famous sports facilities in the world. This year promises to be the best and brightest ever.
With more than a million LED lights illuminating hundreds of festive holiday displays, participants will have the opportunity to see the AMS in a whole new light. Travelling in and around the grandstands and through a brilliantly lit tunnel, riders will travel through a mile and a half of sparkling holiday splendor, and be able to experience areas of the speedway not accessible on race days. The festive atmosphere is enhanced by tuning in to the Speedway’s 90.3 FM radio signal to listen to favorite Christmas music, as well as messages from their favorite NASCAR drivers.
The kids will be thrilled to hear Santa Claus will be visiting for free photos, Friday- Sunday, December 7-9, 14-16, and 21- 23. Parents will want to stop by the Speedway gift shop for the chance to pick up some unique gifts for NASCAR fans young and old (Shop is only open when Santa is visiting: Fri-Sun, December 7-9, 14-16, 21-23).
