Students Predict Election Outcome

2012-11-09

First graders Bella Baxter and John Chance show their voter ID cards shortly after casting their votes for President.

As voters waited in lines to cast their ballots on Election Day, so did the students at Hood Avenue Primary.

All students from pre-K to second grade, with photo ID cards in hand, patiently waited to be checked in so they could electronically cast their vote for President of the United States.

After all the votes were tabulated, it turns out that the students correctly predicted the outcome of the national election with President Barack Obama taking the majority. The breakdown was 277 for President Obama and 101 for Governor Mitt Romney.
