Mr. John F. Flynn died Wednesday, November 14, 2012, after a long illness.
He was retired from the U.S. Government serving as Deputy Director of the General Accounting Office in Washington, D.C. He graduated from Northeastern University, National War College and George Washington University. He was a Navy pilot in World War II.
Surviving are his wife Maryjane; children Joan and Russell Fee, Jeffrey and Lee Yancey Flynn, Joyce and David Hall, Susan and Erik Offerdal; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; brothers and sisters, Thomas Flynn, George Flynn, Mary Flynn, Julia Griffin, Margaret Cresta and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Peachtree City followed by burial at Westminster Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday, November 19 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Carl J. Mowell & Son, Peachtree City.
