 Ina "Marie" Babb, 92, a life-long resident of College Park, passed away December 5, 2012. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of College Park, GA, and an active Square Dancer for 40 years, having attended and participated in international square dance functions and events around the globe.
She is survived by her husband ,George Babb, married 70 years; daughter Pat Earnest of Fayetteville; sons Newton Babb of Woodstock, GA, Ovid Babb of Jacksonville, FL, Joe Babb of Vail, CO and Dean Babb of Demorest, GA; grandchildren Amy Stewart, Beckie Gosdin, Janet Cook, Lesli Harlan, Suzy Babb, Taylor Babb, Alec Babb and Charlie Babb; great-grandchildren Shannon Stewart, A.J. Stewart, Ivy Gosdin, Anna Gosdin, Kennedy Cook, Grant Cook and Reagan Cook; sisters Mattie Nemeth, June Yount, Myrtle Schneider, Jane Cox and Elizabeth Perkins; and numerous nieces and nephews throughout the United States.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 9, 2012, at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Reverend Dennis Watson and Reverend Vicki Smith will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
