Mrs. Frances Allen, 85, of LaGrange, passed away Friday, March 1, 2013 in Gulfport, Mississippi.
Mrs. Allen was born January 10, 1928 in Mountville, Ga., daughter of the late Henry Hill Towns and Odessa Pruitt Towns. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Clinton Allen.
Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia Slaughter and her husband Ron of Fayetteville; son, Randall Allen of Pine Mountain; grandchildren, Jim Slaughter and his wife Trixy of Locust Grove; Richard Slaughter of Charlotte, N.C.; great grandchildren, Christopher Slaughter and Kaitlyn Slaughter both of Locust Grove; and one sister, Louise Towns Jones of Newnan.
The gathering of family and friends was Monday, March 4 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary. A memorial service followed at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Gary Parrish officiating.
A private memorial will be held at a later date in Hillview East Cemetery, LaGrange. |
