Amy Kathryn Ginn and Matthew Reed Barton were united in marriage at Shallowford Presbyterian Church in Atlanta on June 23, 2012. Reverend Robert Carroll of Atlanta officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Charles and Kathy Ginn of Fayetteville. She is the granddaughter of the late Joe and Gloria May of Fayetteville, and Suzanne Ginn and the late Olin Ginn of Atlanta. She is a graduate of the University of Georgia where she earned a bachelor’s degree in insurance and risk management. She is employed as an underwriter with The Hartford.
The groom is the son of Julie Barton of Lawrenceville and Reed and Kim Barton, also of Lawrenceville. He is the grandson of Dee and JoAnne Sullins of McDonough and Patricia Barton and the late Charles Barton of Homosassa Springs, Florida. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia where he earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and the University of Virginia where he earned a master's degree in business administration. He is employed by Deutsche Bank as an investment banking associate.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. The sister of the bride, Allison Barnes, of Buffalo, Wyoming, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Leigh Buchanan of Roswell, Gina Freeman of Chicago, Illinois, Courtney Mays of Atlanta, Laura Stewart of Augusta, and Courtney Sullins of Daytona Beach, Florida. James C. Nau Jr. of San Antonio, Texas, served as best man. Groomsmen were Luke Gaines of Columbia, South Carolina, Kyle Martin of Birmingham, Alabama, Hammond Moore of Atlanta, Brian Moranor of Jacksonville, Florida., and Blake Sundberg of Atlanta. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Wimbish House in Atlanta.
Mr. and Mrs. Barton honeymooned in Curacao and now reside in Houston, Texas.
