Music for Meals – March 20 – 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Fayette Senior Services (FSS) – Fayetteville location at the FSS Life Enrichment Center, 4 Center Drive. Enjoy a delicious meal from Chef Bonnie Kanofsky while enjoying a wonderful evening of music benefiting Fayette County’s Meals On Wheels program. Donations are now being accepted for the Annual Yard Sale sponsored by Senoia Area Historical Society's museum committee. Items can be dropped off any Friday or Saturday, 1 - 4 p.m. during museum hours at 6 Couch Street. The sale will be held on April 6, 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. We accept almost anything, but preferably no clothes. Dementia Caregiver Support Group - The Sixty Plus Program at Piedmont Fayette Hospital offers a monthly support group for the caregivers of older adults with memory loss. The group meets the Third Wednesday of each month from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Piedmont Fayette Hospital, West entrance, 1267 Building Cancer Wellness Center, third floor. Facilitated by a licensed social worker and open to any caregiver of an older adult with memory loss. To register for the group, please call 770-719-7214.

Have your financial plans kept up with the times? Thomas Williams with Peachtree Planning Corporation will help you keep pace in an ever-changing financial landscape. This month’s topic will cover: Wealth and Giving, Maintaining Wealth, and Leaving a Legacy. Graceful, Healthy Aging: Women’s Health and Wellness Workshop presented by Piedmont Fayette Hospital and Fayette Senior Services on March 21, 2013 from 10 a.m. to Noon at Piedmont Fayette Hospital, 1279 Hwy 54 W., 1279 Building, 3rd Floor, conference room C. Peter Pan- Acting Craze: Learn acting skills while preparing a skit of Peter Pan. University Health Services at Clayton State University, along with LifeSouth Community Blood Centers (329 Westridge Pkwy., McDonough, Ga.) will be holding a blood drive on the Clayton State campus on March 21. The LifeSouth Bloodmobile will be parked in front of Laker Hall from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Each donor will receive refreshments, cholesterol screening, and a donor gift. Donors must be 17 or older, although 16-year-olds may donate with written parental consent. Donors must also weight 100 pounds or more, and show I.D. For more information go to www.lifesouth.org.

The 4th Annual Breast Cancer 1- Day Walk will be on March 23 in Peachtree City. Check-in is at 8:30 a.m. on March 23 with Opening Ceremonies at 9 a.m. Walk registration includes Free T-Shirt, Free lunch, Awards, Entertainment, and Giveaways ending with a PINK ROSE CEREMONY for Survivors. Ladies on Spokes Spring Spin-off on March 23. Women’s cycling club invites all local women to its spring kickoff meeting at 9:30 a.m. at the Living Faith Fellowship Church, 1481 Redwine Road, Fayetteville. All levels of riders are welcome. Hopewell UMC, in Tyrone, invites the community to participate in Easter services. The choir will present a Cantata on Palm Sunday, March 24, at 11:00 a.m., entitled “Canticle of the Cross.” The church will hold Maundy Thursday services on March 28, at 7 p.m.. This service commemorates the Last Supper when Jesus shared the Passover meal with his disciples on the night before he was crucified. On Easter Sunday, March 31, services will be held at 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. The church is located at 351 Jenkins Rd., Tyrone, directly across from Sandy Creek High School. Brooks United Methodist Church invites the community to celebrate Easter with us. Beginning on Palm Sunday for worship at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. There will be an Easter Egg Hunt that afternoon (March 24) from 3:30 – 5 p.m. with games, crafts and snacks! Bring your Easter basket and join us! The Holy Communion Maundy Thursday Service will be on March 28 at 7 p.m. The Good Friday Service will be at 7 p.m. on March 29. Brooks Community Sunrise Service at the cemetery will be at 7 a.m. with a community breakfast afterwards in the gym at Brooks UMC. The South Metro Rose Society will meet March 25 at 7 p.m. at the Heritage Bank at 440 N. Jeff Davis Drive in Fayetteville. All rose growers from novice to expert are invited to attend free of charge. This month's program features Mark Windham, professor and distinguished chief of ornamental pathology at the University of Tennessee, who will speak on Rose Rosette Virus. Mr. Windham is Past President of Knoxville's Holston Rose Society and has been growing roses for 25 years. The Prostate Cancer Information Group will meet at Piedmont-Fayette Hospital on March 26. The meeting will start at 7 p.m. in the Cancer Wellness Center in the 1267 Building, 3rd floor. Use the Outpatient/West Entrance. The program will be a talk on Treating Prostate Cancer with Hormone Therapy with Fernando Duralde, MD of Georgia Urology. Enjoy coffee and donuts while hearing from some of Fayette County’s finest local law enforcement agencies. This month, new Sheriff Barry Babb with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office will give you a chance to learn all about what is happening in all areas of our community.
