The Southern Ground Amphitheater series tickets are now available to the general public. Tickets to individual concerts will go on sale April 2, and range from $15 - $65. Tables for eight are available in the Orchestra pit, and special tables are sold in the boxes of the tiered section. Tickets to all shows will be sold via the website at SouthernGroundAmp.com. and at the historic Courthouse in Downtown Fayetteville. Southern Ground Amphitheater is owned by the Downtown Development Authority and managed by the Main Street Tourism Association of Fayetteville. The Coweta County Master Gardener Extension Volunteers’ Spring Plant Sale will be held at the Coweta County Fairgrounds Ag Building, 275 Pine Road, Newnan on April 13 from 8:30a.m. until 1:00 p.m. All plants for sale have been propagated or grown by Master Gardener Extension Volunteers (MGEVs). Seventeenth annual festival celebrates Southern Appalachian music, art and culture. Pre-festival events are on April 19, with jammers on Dahlonega's Historic Public Square during the day prior to the Live Country Auction that night. The Fayette Philharmonic Youth Orchestra presents its first full orchestra concert on April 26 at 7:30 p.m. in the evening. The concert will be held at Flat Creek Baptist Church, 161 Flat Creek Trail, Fayetteville. This is a free concert and will include music from Les Miserable as well as Dvorak’s New World Symphony and Jupiter from the Planets. The FPYO, under the direction of Cindy Wilson, has been in existence for three years and this is their first full orchestra presentation. The orchestra has grown considerably and includes members from almost every middle and high school in Fayette County as well as members from Henry and Fulton County. PTC Monopoly Tournament will be held this year at the Dolce Atlanta-Peachtree Resort and Convention Center (201 Aberdeen Parkway). This is an official Hasbro Monopoly tournament open to those ages 12 and over. The competition has no entry fee and offers over $1,000 in cash and prizes, with prizes of $100 for first place, $50 for second, and $25 for third and fourth. The Friends of Peachtree City Library have announced the winners of the third annual Poetry Contest.
