Everett Scholer ‘Hil’ Hilfiker passed Friday, May 3, 2013, at his home surrounded by family and devoted caregiver Karen.
He was preceded in death in 2011 by Bernadine, his loving wife of 68 years. ‘Hil’ and Bernadine were the parents of three lovely and successful daughters who survive: Ann Hilfiker King of Atlanta, Carol Dianne Howard (Ralph) of Wamego, Kan., and Dr. Mary L. Hilfiker of San Diego, Calif. ‘Hil’ was also preceded in death by his parents Alonzo and Mary Hilfiker, seven older brothers and sisters, and son-in-law Kenneth L. King. ‘Hil’ and Bernadine had two granddaughters: Ellen C. Pappas and Emily L. Parrish and three great grandchildren.
‘Hil’ spent 5 years in the U. S. Army and Army Air Force during WWII, and a number of years with Swift & Co. in Chicago and Atlanta, and was part owner and manager of Thermo King Atlanta. ‘Hil’ was a Presbyterian elder. ‘Hil’ was cared for by amazing and devoted caregivers: Karen Anderson, CNA; Marianne Boggs, CNA, and Dionne Montigue, CNA.

Mowell & Son Funeral Home, 180 Jeff Davis Drive, Fayetteville, GA 30214, was Monday, May 6, 9:30-10:30 a.m. with Graveside Service and Military Honors at Westminster Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City at 11 a.m.
