Raymond Alan DeBorde, 48, of Fayetteville, passed away January 29, 2014. He was a 1983 Fayette County High School graduate. He was the owner and operator of Raymond Alan DeBorde Inc. Transportation Co. in Fayetteville.
He is survived by his son Robert DeBorde of Fayetteville; daughter Holly DeBorde of McDonough; mother Jean Horsley of Fayetteville; sisters Sandra DeBorde Harden of Fayetteville and Jeanine Horsley of Fayetteville; nephews Nicholas and Andrew; and niece Elizabeth.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Pastor Gerald Reid will officiate. The burial will follow at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Genevieve G. “Meme” Peek, 82, of Fayetteville, passed away February 1, 2014. She was an avid gardener, cook and seamstress. She was also a founding member of The Summit Church of South Fayette.
She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Cora Garner, three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her husband of 62 years Dan Peek of Fayetteville, son and daughter-in-law Lee & Leigh Ann Peek of Fayetteville, daughter Lynne Peek-Cuny of Fayetteville, daughter and son-in-law Lorrie & Dan McNeill of Atlanta, grandchildren Danielle Stephens, Kalli Cuny, Elaine Peek, Genevieve Peek, brother David & Adel Garner of Forked River, NJ.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 4, 2014, at 3:00 PM at Ebenezer United Methodist Church. Dr. Martin Huggins and Pastor Sandy Wilmesherr will officiate. Mrs. Peek will lie in state from 2:00 until 3:00 PM. The burial will follow at Flat Creek Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville.

Walton A. Allen
Walton A. Allen, 93, of College Park and Fayetteville, GA passed away January 31, 2014. Born in Hart County, Georgia, he grew up in Anderson, SC where many of his relatives reside today. He enlisted in the Marines in 1940 and served as a radio operator in the 1st Brigade, 3rd Division during WWII. That experience led him to a 30 year career with the FAA. He was an avid golfer and a long-time member of College Park Presbyterian Church.
Walton is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Mary M. Allen and daughters, Susan Martin (John) and Barbara Harrison; Six grandchildren Jevon (Katie) Allen; Chris Ray; Angie (Bobby) Donnet; Sheila Martin; Ashley (Todd) Woods; Josh (Melanee) Ray and eight great-grandchildren. He has one surviving brother Hubert Allen (Charletta) of Anderson, SC and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his only son Joel Allen and six brothers and sisters.
Reverend Jonier Orozco of College Park Presbyterian Church will be officiating the memorial service on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Visitation is prior to the service from 10:00 until 11:00 AM.

Ollie Joe Wingo, 82, of Fayetteville, passed away February 2, 2014. He was preceded in death by his 1st wife Doris Bray Wingo; son Steve Wingo and sisters Geraldine Wallace and Jeanette Greer.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn Wingo of Fayetteville; sister Margie Loudermilk of Newnan; brother James Wingo of Union City; step-sons Steven (Tina) Shiflett of Hampton and Chuck (Jill) Shiflett of Peachtree City; grandchildren Kelsey Shiflett, Alan Shiflett, Kevin Shiflett and Zac Shiflett.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Reverend Hugh Kirby will officiate. The burial will follow at Holly Hill Cemetery, Fairburn. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
