County honors ‘Heroes of the Storm’

The Fayette County Commission took a moment to recognize the small army of local public safety employees that helped ensure Fayette County’s two winter storm experiences went as smoothly as possible.
The Public Safety Agencies honored were: Fayette County Fire and Emergency Services; Fayette County Sheriff’s Office;
Fayette County 911; Fayette County Marshal; Peachtree City Fire Department; Fayetteville Fire Department; Fayette County Public Works; Fayette County Road Department; Fayette County Information Systems; Fayette County Building and Grounds; Fayette County Fleet Maintenance; Fayette County Board of Education; Fayette County Board of Education Transportation Department; National Weather Service Peachtree City; District 4 Public Health; Fayette County Health Department; Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA); Community Partners and Volunteer Organizations;
Piedmont Fayette Hospital; Coweta Fayette EMC; Faith Based Shelter Team Leader; Faith Based Debris Team; Chick fil-a, Fayetteville Towne Center; Fayetteville Dwarf House; and Partners Pizza.
