Loretta Hand Roberts
Loretta Hand Roberts, 83, of Fayetteville, passed away March 30, 2014.
She is survived by her daughter Linda (Kenny) Mayfield of Fayetteville; son Dennis Roberts of Concord; grandchildren Ashley (David) Grant of Thomaston, Shane Roberts of Hogansville, and Keith (Penny) Mayfield of Senoia; great-grandchildren Jonathan, Michael, and Samantha Roberts of Hogansville, Kaylee and Lacee Mayfield of Senoia, and Collin Grant of Thomaston; sister Ilean Roberts of Fayetteville; also nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Reverend Billy Beard will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pauline “Polly” Stell
Mrs. Pauline “Polly” Stell, 98, of Fayetteville, died March 29, 2014. Mrs. Polly demonstrated her love for life and people by spending time volunteering in the community. She also played piano at Fayette Presbyterian Church, where she was a member for many years. She also loved gardening, birds and music.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years George Hugh Stell. She is survived by her sister Virginia Elliott of Newnan; six nephews and two nieces and many dear wonderful friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Burial will follow at Fincher Methodist Cemetery in Meansville, GA. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m.

Harry “Paul” Lemming
Harry “Paul” Lemming, 89, of Fayetteville, passed away March 30, 2014. He proudly served as a staff sargent in the US Air Force and a member of a P51 crew during WWII. He was active in Civitan International. He was ordained as a deacon at Lakewood Heights Baptist Church under Rev. Bill Rainwater and also served at Dogwood Hills and Meadows Baptist Church. Mr. Lemming was a long-time member of Fayetteville First Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School. He was self-employed as a jeweler and expert watchmaker until his retirement in 1989. Photography was also one of his hobbies.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Paula Sellers and son-in-law Weyman Sellers. He is survived by his wife of 70 years Estelle Lemming of Fayetteville; sister-in-law Dorothy Lemming; and several nieces & nephews.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Rev. Glenn Stringham will officiate. The burial will follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. The family will receive friends Wednesday from noon to 2 p.m. prior to the service.

Phyllis Webb Towell
Phyllis Webb Towell, 86, of Fayetteville, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014. She is survived by her husband, Ralph M. Towell, of Fayetteville, Georgia, son, William Lee Webb, daughter-in-law, Ann Hepburn Webb and grandson, Andrew Hepburn Webb, all of Alexandria, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Herman Webb and brother, Carl Holmes Fisher of Charlotte, North Carolina.
She was born in Kannapolis, North Carolina, attended Cannon High School and graduated from Flora McDonald College in Red Springs, North Carolina. Phyllis was an elementary school teacher in North Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia for over 52 years and retired from the Fulton County Public School System in 2005. She was a member of Fayetteville First United Methodist Church and was very active in the Fellowship-Discipleship Sunday School class. Phyllis and her husband, Ralph (“Pete”) were active in church, various dinner groups and enjoyed travelling, particularly to visit friends in the north Georgia mountains. Phyllis was known for always wearing a variety of hats and was many times referred to as the “Hat Lady” or as “Little Red” for her bright red hair. She had a particular love for sewing and her birds and other wildlife in the backyard.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church. Longtime friend of Phyllis, Ralph and son, William, the Reverend Bob Partridge and the Reverend Lowell Hale will officiate. John Allen Beal IV
John Allen Beall, IV, age 64, passed away Wednesday March 26, 2014. Mr. Beall was a 1971 graduate of Auburn University and a 1984 graduate of Woodrow Wilson College of Law. He last served as the senior conflict criminal defense attorney for the state of Georgia from 2009-2012. Prior to this position he was a criminal and civil defense attorney in Jonesboro, Georgia from 1985 to 2009. He served as a member and president of the Clayton County Bar Association, member of Clayton County Masons, Jonesboro Chapter, and a long time communicant of Saint Andrew’s Church in Peachtree City, Georgia.
Mr. Beall was preceded in death by his father, Major General John Allen Beall, III. and his mother Lollie Ruth Beall, as well as his brother James Kennon Beall. He is survived by his loving spouse of 43 years, Cheryl Beall, as well as his sons and daughters, Ashley DeLouise Beall & Carmen Lydia Colon, John Allen Beall IV and Angela Nichols Beall, and Kyle William Copeland and Arianne Beall Copeland. A funeral service was held on April 1, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Saint Andrews Episcopal Church in Peachtree City, Georgia. His family received guests after the service in the parish hall.
