Mr. Moore proudly served his country in WWII. He worked as a supervisor for 40 years at Atlantic Steel Company, in Atlanta. He and his wife were faithful members of Fayetteville First United Methodist Church.
Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Harris Moore. He is survived by his daughter, LaNeva Turner and her husband Steve of Fayetteville; granddaughter, Kellie Turner Simpson and her husband David of McDonough; great granddaughters, Savannah Lauren Simpson and Emily Evelyn Simpson; sister, Louise Wise of Porterdale, GA.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Fayetteville Chapel of Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Ellison officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 3, 2009 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
