Deployed troops will benefit from Hero Night

2009-10-15

By Martha Barksdale

It seems fitting that a musician named by CMT as one of America’s top unsigned Americana artists will be presenting a benefit show next month for American heroes.

That is what will happen Nov. 7 when James Dunn headlines a night of live music, food and fun to help HeroBox, the Tyrone-based organization that supports deployed American service members.

The show will be held at the Tyrone Depot.
Admission is a $20 tax deductible donation to HeroBox. The cost includes light food and an open bar.

A silent auction for donated items will also be featured. Only 200 tickets will be sold.
Tickets are available at www.herobox.org or at the HeroBox offices on Howell Road. Call (678) 224-5794 or email info@herobox.org for more information.

Dunn’s music is described as “crafted in the true spirit of American rock.” He has a new album, “The Long Ride Home.”
