James Leo Wright, Sr.

Pastor, husband, father, teacher, educator, friend, and faithful proclaimer of the Gospel, he crossed over Jordan and is now rejoicing at the feet of Jesus, his beloved Lord. He lived life for this very purpose and now is finally home.
Mr. Wright was born on September 27, 1920 in Woodford County, Kentucky to the late William Henry Wright and the late Bessie Rice. Mr. Wright was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Ruth Rice Wright.
Survivors include his sons, Jim Wright and his wife, Sandra, Selbert Lawrence Wright, and Steve Wright and his wife Beverly; grandchildren, Tammy Pyle, Deborah Martin, Stephanie Yancey, Stevie Wright, Leslie Wright, and Justin Wright; great grand-children, Jonathan Mark Martin, Tesia Cook, T.J. Pyle, Tyler Pyle, Blake Yancey, Courtney Yancey, Addison Wright, and Maddox Wright; great-great-grand-child, William Hunter Cook; sister, Elizabeth Tribble; sister-in-law, Anna White.
Funeral services for James Wright were conducted Monday, November 2, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Whitewater Church in Brooks. Pastor Jim Wright and Reverend Dennis Watson officiated. Interment followed in Brooks Memorial Gardens, Brooks.Those wishing may make contributions to Whitewater Church, cemetery fund, 632 Hwy 85 Connector, Brooks, GA 30205.
