Fayette voters rejected the SPLOST renewal referendum by a three to one margin in the Nov. 3 election, which will lower the county's sales tax by 1-percent in April of next year.
In Fayetteville, incumbent city council members Larry Dell, Walt White and Paul Oddo were each re-elected.
Grace Caldwell did not fare as well in Tyrone. Challenger Ken Matthews took her seat in a landslide.
In Peachtree City, Vanessa Fleisch has won Post 4 while the other three positions up for election will head to a runoff.
Former councilmembers Don Haddix and Cyndi Plunkett are in the runoff for the mayor's seat. Kim Learnard and Bob Walsh will compete for post 3 and Beth Pullias and Eric Imker head to a runoff for the remaining two years of Haddix's former Post 1 position.
