David E. Nelms, 77, of Fayetteville, died December 9, 2009. He is survived by his wife Jerolean Nelms of Fayetteville; daughter Cherie Brush of Alachua, FL; brothers Glenn Nelms of Fayetteville and Fred Nelms of Clifftondale; sisters Helen Stallings of Clayton County, GA, Anne Batten of Clayton County, GA and Elsie Risher of Rockland, FL; sister-in-law Cordelia Nelms of Conyers, GA; brother-in-law George Clayman of Baltimore, MD; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 11, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Flat Creek Baptist Church, Fayetteville with Reverend Bill Priester officiating. He will lie in state at 10:30 AM. The burial will follow at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta. The family will receive friends Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Sparks Inn at Christian City, Union City, GA.
