Adrienne Leon joins Fayette Newspapers, Inc. |

Fayette Newspapers is pleased to announce a new addition to its Georgia Press Association award-winning editorial staff.
Adrienne Leon, a longtime resident of the south metro area, has accepted a full-time reporter position and will begin work in January.
Ms. Leon has three years of journalism experience, most recently at the Haralson Gateway-Beacon in Bremen, Ga. She has also worked as an investigative news researcher for WSB-TV Channel 2.
“We’re very excited to have Adrienne join our team,� said Fayette Newspapers’ editor Trey Alverson.
“She will no doubt help us as we continue to strive to be the best community newspaper in the state.�
Leon earned a master’s degree in print journalism from Chicago’s Roosevelt University in 2007. She completed her undergraduate work at Alabama State University in Montgomery.
“The new year could not be off to a better start,� Leon stated.
“I'm joining a fine publication based in a great area. Fayette County embodies a unique sense of community, and I look forward to utilizing my skills to serve the needs of each city in the county.�
Leon grew up in the area and graduated from nearby Westlake High School in south Fulton County.
