Mrs. Gladys Carson, 78, of Fayette County, died Feb. 6, 2010. She was the longtime owner and operator of Jackson General Store. She is survived by her husband Billy Carson; two daughters Debora Carson of Fayette County and Vickie & John Zyla of Baltimore, MD; seven grandchildren; two sisters Doris & Ed Futyma of Huntingtown, MD and Judy & Bruce Bates of Churchton, MD.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Rev. Jack Lanham will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
