Tyler Price scores one of his six goals on his record setting night.
(Staff Photo by Christopher Dunn) The McIntosh Chiefs boys lacrosse team continued their dominant region run with a 20-2 victory over the Whitewater Wildcats Monday afternoon.
The Chiefs controlled the tempo all game long, keeping the Wildcats on their heels throughout. It was a total team effort for McIntosh with a whopping nine players finding the back of the net. On Senior Night, it was a great way to cap off a great regular season.
The story of the night was the play of Tyler Price. Price led the way with six goals, but his play wasn't just great on this night. Price's performance broke the all-time McIntosh scoring record with 120 points, breaking the mark set by DJ Ward in 2008.
Karson Bobbitt picked up 3 goals and one assist. Josh Phillips, Brandon Aultman, and Collin Abell each had two goals. Sam Herman, Grant Herman, Andrew Going, and Zach Bruso had one goal a piece.
Whitewater's two goals both came off the stick of Jack Wilson. Jack Garrison picked up an assist for the Cats.
McIntosh will look to improve on their 6-1 region record when they travel to play Starr's Mill on Wednesday. |
