National Heights Baptist Church will host "Shred Day" on May 5, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 103 Old Norton Road, Fayetteville. There will be no charge to the public for shredding, but donations will be accepted. The church has hired "Shred-It," one of Georgia's largest professional shredding companies, to manage the shredding. Documents and papers acceptable for shredding include outdated or sensitive information such as medical and financial records, credit card statements, cancelled checks, insurance forms, old tax returns, and any other personal documents. Staples or paperclips do not have to be removed before shredding, but documents should be taken out of binders and notebooks to avoid jamming the shredding machines. The Twilight Theatre, a local theater company, is holding auditions for their summer production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella. The Fayette County Public School System is conducting a community needs assessment in the form of an online survey to gather input from stakeholders. Dementia Caregiver Support Group - The Sixty Plus Program at Piedmont Fayette Hospital offers a monthly support group for the caregivers of older adults with memory loss.
