Planting a tree in recognition of Earth Day

In collaboration with Fayette County 4H teacher Andrea McCourtney, J.C. Booth's 7th grade science students planted a maple tree.  

This tree was planted in honor of Earth Day 2012.  Throughout the 2011-2012 school year, 7th grade students have been learning about gardening.  

They have successfully planted two vegetable gardens this school year.  Many thanks to the support of our local county extension office, specifically Andrea McCourtney for aiding in curriculum support and for providing materials throughout this process.
