 Eric Scheibler, age 44, died at his home in Smyrna, on Sunday morning, May 20, 2012.
His all too short life was one of living life to the fullest. He loved motorcross racing, kayaking, water skiing, skateboarding, longboarding, repelling, bicycle riding and car racing.
Eric was born February 25, 1968 in Glen Cove, Long Island, N.Y. His family moved to Peachtree City in 1969. Eric attended school in Peachtree City and graduated from McIntosh High School in 1986. Eric attended college at Georgia Southern, Auburn University, and Georgia State – graduating with a degree in Decision Science . He worked at Delta Technology, Check Free, and FIS Global as a Network Security Engineer.
Eric is survived by his father & mother, Jim and Mary Scheibler of Peachtree City; his brother, Jay (Sonya) Scheibler; his favorite niece, Holley Scheibler from Smyrna; and Cindy Devine, his sweetheart from Marietta.
Eric’s faithful loving dogs, Maddie and Guinness, also survive him. Eric’s extended family in Pennsylvania include (Bernard) Buczak, Dorothy (Andy) Makar, and Bob (Marcy) Osikowicz. Also in Pennsylvania is Kathy Scheibler Battellino, and William Scheibler who proceeded him in death(Elizabeth Scheibler Wright). There are nineteen cousins in Pennsylvania who survive Eric. Eric is loved and remembered by his many wonderful friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2012 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home & Crematory in Peachtree City. A Celebration of Life service will follow the visitation at 7:00 p.m.
